چکیده

Background . Acute adhesive small bowel obstruction (AASBO) is a common surgical emergency requiring immediate interventions. AASBO usual indication for both resection and adhesiolysis. Postoperative adhesions cause 60% of obstructions. Materials methods An analysis treatment outcomes presented 197 acute patients; 63 patients had urgent laparotomy, 134 were scheduled laparoscopy. The examination included physical, laboratory, radiological (abdominal radiography, ultrasound, CT scan), laparoscopy intra-abdominal pressure monitoring. Results discussion Of laparoscopic adhesiolysis, only 46.2% completed, 53.8% required conversion to laparotomy. main rationale massive adhesions, intraoperative haemodynamic instability, need intestinal decompression, as well rare complications. Laparoscopic operations reported with the lower vs. laparotomy rates complications (6.4 12.69%), mortality (6 6.3%), shorter hospital stays (6.5 12 days) operation times (75 118 min, respectively). Conclusion surgery in was feasible 31.47% — after diagnostic laparoscopy; however, thorough selection adhesiolysis necessary. first estimated should be patient’s stability, severities condition, comorbid cardiorespiratory pathology. Grade I—II are an surgery.
